September is giving us some seriously good books! Here are just a few!

Sing, Unburied, Singย  A searing and profound Southern odyssey by National Book Award winner Jesmyn Ward.

Lie to Meย ย They built a life on liesย

A Murder Too Soon: A Tudor Mysteryย ย Jack Blackjack is ordered to eliminate a spy in Princess Elizabeth’s household in this engaging Tudor mystery.ย

Odd & Trueย  ย Hunting Monsters!

Protocol (A Maggie O'Malley Mystery #1)ย โ€œA page-turner! Smart, fast-paced and surprising.โ€ โ€“ Hank Phillippi Ryan, Mary Higgins Clark Award-Winner, Author of Say No More

These are just a few of the many books coming out in September! I think I have a total of 20 reviewed. The first one Sing, Unburied, Sing was a difficult book for me to read. The truth often is. It is set in a place in Mississippi that I am very familiar with and know these things to be true. Ms. Ward is an amazing writer!

Have a good Saturday. Luckily, we only had leaks and line back ups to deal with up ย here yesterday. But our hearts were with everyone in Texas and we will continue to keep you right there, close to us.

What’s on the TBR pile today?

A Murder Too Soon: A Tudor Mysteryย ย Lie to Meย Bored and Brilliant: How Spacing Out Can Unlock Your Most Productive & Creative Selfย Odd & True

Lies She Toldย Chickadee Chickadee Bang Bang (A Bird Lover's Mystery #5)ย Sleep Like a Baby (Aurora Teagarden, #10)ย Hanna Who Fell from the Sky

Two of these I have already completed and popped into the Draft folder. All of these come out in September, so I have a bit of time to read some cosy mysteries in between the heavy stuff!

The past couple of weeks have been jam-packed with deadlines and personal obligations so today I’m taking my Kindle to the lake for some much-needed decompression time.

Y’all have a good Wednesday and ย maybe send us some rain if you’re feeling generous!
