This is the fourth in this excellent series! My three favorite things are in the name. Secrets, Books, and Scones! So what has our Nora been up to?
Nora owns the bookstore in Miracle Springs, North Carolina and her window displays are always amazing. This Halloween Nora and her band of helpers decide on a showcase of strong, female heroines. Think Circe through Matilda! It’s a magical display and people are loving it. Well, not everyone. It seems the preacher’s wife has decided to be the moral police and has riled up some of her friends to force Nora to take down the display. And she isn’t the only one on their radar, one of the new businesses in town, owned by the mysterious Celeste, is also being targeted simply because she sells CBD oil products.
Nora isn’t going to let anyone push her around, but she is very worried about Celeste and her daughter. This is where the secrets come in. These ladies have some. And someone is willing to kill over them it would seem.
When Nora finds an odd paper under her mat full of strange symbols, a body is not far behind. Surely the church ladies aren’t behind this?
Nora and the Society are going to have to dig into Celeste’s background and figure out the who, why and how before any more harm is done.
Oh, how I love this series! All the characters are so real. And there is always laughter. Okay, so there is also always murder, but the laughter and friendships these characters have are what keeps me coming back for more.
Grab a cup of tea and a scone and start reading!

Jane Seward’s resort is a madhouse! With the Peppermint Press’ Conference going and so many families staying with their kids enjoyng all of the events planned, including the scavenger hunt in the Fairy Tale Forest.
But the good times come to a halt when Little Red Riding Hood is found dead with a rare book in her basket. When the second death occurs it’s looking bad for Jane who is wishing for a helpful prince about now.
I so enjoy these characters. I have to admit I was stumped for a long time. And I will definitely be back for the next one!

A brand-new book in the Antiques & Collectibles Mystery Series by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Ellery Adams and Parker Riggs.
In the world of antiques and collectibles, it helps to have a sharp eye for quality, a good ear for gossip, and a nose for murder.
Molly Appleby is back at work writing for the Collector’s Weekly. Up first, an auction of antiques from a retired actor whose young new wife doesn’t want to live with old things in her house, well except for said rich husband.
Molly is thrilled her friend was chosen to host the auction. It would really boost his name recognition and hopefully make a boatload of money for his business. And it doesn’t hurt that he is dating the actors secretary.
As Molly covers the auction she is taking in not only the antiques but some pretty odd behavior from some of the players.
Molly has a nose for antiques and odd behavior and when her friend turns up dead even the police know she is going to dig as deep as she has to in order to prove it was murder.
There were so many shady characters hiding in plain sight in this first of a new series. It was hard to narrow down who had the best motive. And the more she digs the more she finds out her friend wasn’t the nice guy she thought. When the killer begins targeting Molly she digs her feet in harder. But who would want Molly dead? Or is someone playing cat and mouse with her?
I am thrilled to see this new series. The characters were smart and believable, the plot could have been pulled from the headlines and it all came together perfectly. As a good cozy should!
Book Five in the harrowing and heartwarming Supper Club Mystery series by New York Times bestselling author Ellery Adams!
Librarian James Henry and the supper club will have more than enough food for thought trying to count calories and catch a killer . . .
Back to Quincy Gap! This time with a celebrity chef who definitely is not as sweet as her cakes!
It’s no surprise when she turns up dead and quite a few people aren’t too sad about that. But James and his friends, The Flab Five, are determined to find out who cut the cake lady out of the picture. With not a lot of clues or suspects, the members of the group are really having to work this one.
And when another body turns up, well, they may be running out of time!
The friendships among this group are so well done. All of the characters are well drawn and are just lovable. Add in some recipes and you have one sweet cozy mystery.
Ms. Adams has a topic for every cozy mystery lover. Love pie? ( If you said no, we can’t be friends). Libraries, antiques, if you can think it, she has probably written it.
I ordered the pie ones yesterday and can’t wait to get them. If you haven’t discovered her yet, definitely give her a read! Check out your local library, mine had them all. Or you can order them all on Amazon.
