An Amish Candy Mystery #4.5
Mother’s Day is busy for candy shop owners Bailey and her Amish grandmother in Harvest, Ohio. And this year is busier than ever with Bailey’s parents coming in for the weekend as well as catering a Mother’s Day Tea.
The Mother’s Day Tea is a benefit for Abigal’s Farm. A place for women recovering from addiction. Not everyone is on board for having “that type of place” near their homes. The money made will allow their work to continue so when the box of donations disappears during the tea, Bailey is there to “assist” the new Deputy with his first case.
All the while Aiden’s mom, Julia and Bailey’s own mom are planning their wedding and they aren’t even engaged!
I love this short book. It’s like a phone conversation with friends, just a quick catch up and I’m happy. I think Amanda may be the only person I’ve ever read that can successfully blend the Amish and Comedy!
I loved this one!

Angie Turner is all prepped to face Boise’s culinary best when she enters her restaurant, The County Seat, into a big State Fair challenge. Instead, she gets dunked into a new murder investigation after a killer starts scrapping her competition . . .
The Idaho State Fair is a big deal and this year the competition ramps up to include the Boise’s Best Restaurant Contest. Angie Turner and her crew from her restaurant the County Seat are running all over the place trying to guess what the next challenge will entail. Everyone gets the same dish to put their own personal spin on.
Not all of the contestants are in it for fun. Someone is knocking off the winners. Angie and her team aren’t about to keep their noses out of the sleuthing fun and they intend to win the contest too!
Chefs are the most competitive people! While our beloved chefs at the County Seat are an exception, some of these folks are crazy!
This is the fourth book in the Farm to Fork Mysteries and I felt like everyone was on point and the characters are coming together nicely. I may have gained a few pounds with this one!

A Miss Underhay Mystery #2
It’s the summer of 1933 and Kitty Underhay is still reeling from all of the things that happened at The Dolphin. Where her long-absent and a very criminal father has come and gone in a cloud of suspicion.
But the one good thing to come out of it all is finding out she has family! Hoping it may bring her more information on her mother, who went missing in 1916, Kitty happily accepts her cousin’s request to come to Enderley Hall and stay a bit. Get to know the aunt and uncle and maybe have a bit of fun.
Kitty and her maid, Alice, feel something is off the minute they enter the home. Everyone is twitchy and no one seems to know anything about her mother or the visit she paid them just before she disappeared. Nanny Thoms remembers though and she gives Kitty just a snippet here and there before she is found at the bottom of the kitchen stairs.
Important papers are missing, people are being murdered and thank goodness Matt arrives to help investigate what is going on.
This is the second in the series and I enjoyed it just as much! Matt and Kitty are such strong characters and I can’t wait for more of their adventures!

A Pie Town Mystery #4 ( With Recipes)
Val Harris, the owner of Pie Town, is not quite sure a poetry slam in a bakery is a thing. But Abril is excited enough for both of them. Does that have something to do with her professor, Michael Starke, a poet or is she a little starstruck?
Val would much rather spend time with her newfound half-brother but this could be good for the shop and she goes along. But the night ends abruptly when several of the professors begin to threaten each other and toss around the dreaded plagiarism accusation.
When later that night Starke is found dead, the Baker Street Bakers are determined to figure out who is guilty. And my goodness there were enough despicable people, right there in the English Department.
Everyone is keeping secrets. Everyone looks guilty. Even Abril! But with some help from her friends, especially the formidable Charlene, they are determined to find the guilty party without losing their heads.
I love this series!! I mean, PIE. And Charlene and her crazy UFO theories had me laughing the entire book. What a great cast of characters that Weiss has invented for us! And don’t forget…recipes!

Cat Latimer Mystery #6
Cat is hosting a different type of writer’s retreat this time. Couples. 2 couples, 1 odd college student and Uncle Pete’s girlfriend, Shirley. It seems like everyone and his brother are jumping on the writing bandwagon!
Seth is overwhelmed with planning an outing for the group, doing airport runs and prepping for his military unit’s reunion.
Hiking local Colorado mountains and venturing into mining claims turns into finding a dead body and not just anybody, but a friend of Seth’s from the military. The one who died in the war. Chance had been living off the grid for all these years and no one knew. Or did they? And why did he fake his death?
Everyone is acting odd at this retreat. Including Seth and Shauna. And of course, our Cat is going to stick her pert little nose into this mystery and find out what her man is hiding and who killed his friend.
This is my favorite book so far. The characters are well-formed and are continually growing and evolving. There are really tough topics tucked in these mysteries and I always learn something new while being thoroughly entertained. With Ms. Cahoon that is a given.
