Callie may be having movers remorse after relocating to Heart’s Harbor. And I liked that. I think we have all had that at one time or another. She’s second-guessing Deputy Falk as well. In the first book, they had such a good flow and now he seems to be pulling away.
Callie decides to throw herself into the preparations for the Fourth of July and finds out a famous television star was last seen in Heart’s Harbor before she disappeared for good. When Callie starts poking around, not everyone is happy and not everyone is telling the truth. When one chatty resident ends up dead Callie now has 2 mysteries to solve. Only the good Deputy would rather she stay far away from his business. And so would the town’s residents!
Will Callie call it quits or will she be the next to die?
