LITTLE LOVELY THINGS by MAUREEN JOYCE CONNOLLY

Little Lovely Things

This one had me at the first page. When we first meet Claire Rawlings, her husband Dan and their two precious little girls, Lucy, just a baby and Andrea, who is four, they are in the middle of another hectic day of getting everyone ready and out the door on time. Dan to his teaching position and Claire, a medical resident, to the hospital with the girls in tow.

But what Claire doesn’t realize until it’s too late is that she is having a severe allergic reaction to a required vaccination and by pulling into the back of a gas station, she has put in motion events that will shatter them as a family.

Told through several voices we hear what their motivations are and how eventually they will all intersect with each other in a stunning mix of hope, magic and the consequences of our every action, no matter how small.

I absolutely loved this story. I felt deeply for every character and I will probably read it again!

Well Done!
