You never really reach the end of your TBR pile, do you? Just when I think I have a handle on it and don’t need a spreadsheet, Boom, more books. Oh well if I have to keep getting something I guess books are the way to go!
I have read four books in two days all in the same genre so I’m grabbing this cozy mystery to slow things down a bit.
I personally have never read this author before so I’m excited to see what happens. This is the fifth in the series. Let me know if you’ve read this author!
Early morning eye appointment went well. My doctor made it safely home from Korea. More and more I am realizing this is a journey. It’s been a year since the corneal transplant and I still have a couple of surgeries to go so my goal is to be patient. Never has that word been used in the same sentence with my name. This may be the longest relationship I’ve ever had with a man!
It is still bone chillingly cold so it’s a hot cup of tea, a book and a bath!

No, the TBR pile never goes down. A fact of life. 🙂 Happy Reading.

I concur. I will die with a pile of unread books covering me. They take the other half of my queen sized bed. ;( Oh well, they don’t give me any grief. Hated to finish my last one. The Corner Bookshop by Jenny Colgan. Such a lovely story.

OH that was lovely! Maybe I should be buried with some books, just in case…

That’s my worst fear, to die having an unread pile of books stacked in my shelves.

I’m going to put that in my will now. Please bury with all unread books, just in case….

My TBR list is sooo long. I collect old books printed in the 1900s and sometimes I literally come home with boxes overflowing with books.

😂 only you have to hope that the books won’t fall apart as soon as you open them

Then we could make altered books with them! Oh the possibilities!

Honestly there is nothing else I can do right now. With this eye thing I can’t even drive so I read and endlessly re-arrange furniture.

Oh well I’m jealous you get reading time, but I hope you’re recovered soon and able to do other things:)

Same! I recently started reading several books at once, again. This works for me, because I’m usually reading different genres and I like being able to go back and forth. Happy reading!

Same here. This time I got the same genres and it was a bit confusing.

Oh, yes, I definitely had that happen. Although it makes for interesting day dream material, lol.

Everytime I take a title off my TBR, I end up adding at least three more! I give up. I guess I’ll just have to live with it. LOL

Oh! The TBR! It’s a course for readers, right? I hope you enjoy the book and good luck with your eye!

I relate so much to this! I use GoodReads to keep track of all the books I want to read next and I started to get overwhelmed so now I go there, decide out of a few that are TBR and get them at once so I always have something to read next! Soon I’ll need a bigger book shelf!

My TBR list has never contained as many books as it does now – it seems like every day several more books are catching my eye and heading straight on to the list.

If someone reaches the end of their TBR pile they’re REALLY not trying enough… I’ve calculated out how many books I could feasibly read in the rest of my lifetime… and I’m going to have some big decisions to make!

I always feel like I don’t have enough time to read books even though I spend half of my day reading and and searching for new books😝

I know. It takes me all day to just do those things. But I set a timer and from 3 to 7 I read.

I would love to be able and sit and read that many books within so many days. It’s a good idea to set some time away just for reading. At the minute I’m reading when I can. I like your blog and I’m even going to give it a follow.

My TBR list is currently 910 books and counting. Oh My

Okay, you need to move into the library. Reading that many will be a full time job! I’ve stopped counting. Goodreads keeps reminding me, but I’m ghosting them.

Do you speed read the books you read? If so how can I learn to speed read, is there a trick to it or is it just practice?

I don’t speed read, I just have an unusual brain.

My family’s not very wealthy and our home is quite literally a shoe box. I have ZERO capacity for storing my reading material. The anxiety is REAL. People have suggested eBooks – but I don’t think I could go down that route… Ahh well, I guess I’m in the poop! 😀

I never thought I would go down that route, until I did. Since I was homebound and blind in one eye I had to stay in and couldn’t get to the library or bookstore so the Kindle saved me.

I guess I’m quite lucky where I live as there is a mobile library service bus which stops right outside my house! I can definitely see the benefits of digital books in your personal circumstances though 😊

Oh I wish we had a mobile service. When I was a child we did. But no more.

I feel the same way. I am taking a different approach because I didn’t like how some books never left my TBR list. They had to have sparked my interest to make it on the list. SO this year I am determined to read at least 2 books a month from the beginning of my TBR list instead of the end. 🙂 Happy to know I am not alone in this problem. Its not really a problem though…LOL
