Bailey Ruth Raeburn, is dead. As an Emissary with the Heaven’s Department of Good Intentions, a job that requires she visit earth to help people in trouble.

This time the trouble is James/Jimmy. A  young, cocky former newspaper reporter who was also deeply in love with Megan, a young and upcoming attorney in a law firm that she can’t wait to leave. And speaking of leaving, her late boyfriend Jimmy is not leaving.

Bailey’s mission is to get Jimmy to climb those golden stairs to heaven and leave the living alone.But Jimmy is stubborn and when one of the law firm partners is found dead, with Megan on the scene and covered in blood, Jimmy refuses to leave until Megan is cleared and safe.

Wiggins, Bailey’s boss, is a lovely fellow who just wants her to follow the precepts laid out and get the job done. He also knows that sometimes Bailey Ruth has to break a few rules to get the job done. In this case, help Megan and Jimmy solve this case.

Bailey Ruth and her adventures are pure enjoyment. She loves coming back to her old haunts and has even made some new friends who can hear and see her.

Paranormal Cosy Mystery and very likable characters make this a quick and fun read!
